INSTALLATION:
This carbon plate is designed to sit on a lip of the factory metal. So precise cutting is required. Trimming is also required depending how you decide to lay it in place.
Once ready for install you will use special large flanged blind side SS rivets and SS rivet washers witch is all included. I took it a step further and used panel bond on surfaces before I riveted it down for added stretch and seal.
Weight savings.
Removing exactly what I removed has added up to 16.4lbs. Depending how you decide to do it will determine your savings. The carbon sheet + 4 braces, and 60 rivets and washers comes to 5.8lbs. Giving you a weight savings of 10.6lbs while still having a functional trunk space.
